Projects
NanowikiIn this NSF-supported initiative, we are developing resources (and actively aggregating and soliciting more!) to provide comprehensive, timely, accurate information about how to make and characterize nanomaterials. These resources are designed for people at all education and resource levels to engage with and in - nanochemistry research.
Our current efforts are focused on using the Wikiversity platform to host and disseminate these protocols, info articles, and multimedia resources. |
Wikipedia EditingIn collaboration with the Wikimedia Foundation and with support from the RCSA, Prof. Millstone is developing materials curricula that benefits both students and the broader public by actively editing Wikipedia entries in materials and nanochemistry.
Check for edits from the Fall 2015 and Fall 2016 1620/2620 class! (edits under "Nano_student initials") We're tackling the following pages: Pt Nanoparticles DLVO theory Cetyltrimethylammonium Bromide Quantum Dots Ag Nanoparticles |
Community OutreachWe are actively involved in a wide variety of local outreach efforts. These include programs through the Carnegie Science Center, local Girl and Boy Scout troops, regional science fairs, and high school education programs for both teachers and students.
